In 2004/05 the Educational Media Agency (EMA) has launched a new Educational Satellite Television Program (STP) broadcast for teaching at General secondary (Grades 9 &10) and College Preparatory (Grades 11 & 12) students of Ethiopia. Importantly, the new system has given our country's education to reach large number of learners at different locations at the same time. Unless this new program is thoroughly studied and possible solutions solicited, all efforts to make most out of the Educational Satellite Television Program will in vain. This study was designed to conduct a survey on the implementation of STP to selected schools of Addis Ababa. Particularly it assesses the attitude of teachers and students towards STP, problems encountered, if any, in implementing the STP. As a whole it tries to show the general practice of the program in classrooms considering the interaction between the three identities; Students, classroom teachers and the TV.
