The book proposes the inclusion of existentialist reflections in higher education, with the aim of enabling the experience of an authentic existence. Since this is a concept developed by Heidegger, it begins with the contextualisation that led him to these reflections. It explains his understanding of existence and its possible meanings, in order to arrive at the meaning of authentic existence. It then shows how technicist education has distanced the human being from authenticity and how the proposal presented would fill this gap. The relevance of the research lies in the promotion of authentic existence in education, in order to enable more and more people to take ownership of their lives, facing reality as it is and making conscious decisions.
