Leadership is increasingly being perceived and theorised as pivotal to students' achievement and institutional performance. In this book, Saeeda Shah considers educational leadership from an Islamic perspective, examining the role of education and educational leadership to debate theoretical positions underpinned by Islamic texts and teachings, and the resulting conceptualisations and interpretations.
Saeeda Shah is Reader at the University of Leicester and Visiting Professor of Education at the University of Derby. Prior to that, she was Dean at AJK University Pakistan and taught for many years in higher education, holding senior management posts. She was awarded the Best University Teacher Millennium Award 2000 by University Grants Commission, Pakistan.
