The general economic and social upheavals that occurred in our country from 2010 until today brought about changes in the way of operation of public school and public education. In the context of austerity that the country entered in order to deal with the economic crisis, serious reductions were marked in expenditures on education. This resulted in mergers and shrinkages of school units, as well as in cuts in teachers¿ salaries and in financial resources for operating expenses. At the same time, at this time of the crisis, a new social fact emerges in education. The increase in the arrival of refugees and immigrants in our country caused a range of social and cultural changes. We are going through a transitional period, redefining education in a new order of things. The effort of our country to comply with the European Strategy for Education puts it in a race through constant changes in legislation, in organization and administration of education in order to reach the goals set. Therefore, a series of events chain, whose the final recipient is the daily function of the school unit, is observed.
