In India, states like West Bengal has come up with various initiatives, like Kanyashree Prokolpo for advancement in the education of a girl child. With the passage of time, more and more women, are getting themselves involved in employment, thus creating a challenge to their male counterparts. The trend is different for Hindus than that of the Muslim women. Through this book an initiative is taken for a comparative analysis of Hindu and Muslim women,on the basis of Work participation and Educational status, with special reference to North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India.
