Cole is currently the strand leader of globalisation research in the Centre for Educational Research at Western Sydney University, Australia, where he is also an associate professor in Literacies, English and ESL (English as a Second Language). Joff P.N. Bradley is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Language Studies at Teikyo University, Tokyo, Japan. He is currently researching how to use film to best promote philosophical thinking in the CLIL/CBI language classroom.
