The paper attempts to solve the problem of effective design and selection of educational content aimed at ensuring its development function. Relevance of the topic is due to increased attention to the problem of training professional staff of a qualitatively new level. The research offers an answer to the question: how to construct the educational content aimed not simply at obtaining the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, but at the development of individuality, at ensuring the development of internal mental functions of a personality? The work consists of two chapters "Psychologization of educational content as an object of research", "Implementation of the principle of psychologization of educational content in the system of continuous professional education" and the conclusion.
