The purpose of the study is to look at civic education in Kiambu County as well as voter education and how this has affected perceptions and attitudes towards politics and representation in the county specifically women representation in elective positions, the challenges faced, levels of participation in decision making after civic and voter education and recommendations. The study covers other scholars work on civic education. Further the study reviews empirical studies on factors influencing civic education programs on political empowerment of women in Kiambu County and the theories on civic education. The research design used was survey research method. The targeted population from which results were generated include women groups in Kiambu County, the men in Kiambu County, and the youth groups in Kiambu County, (18-35 years) and institutions that have participated in the civic education process in Kiambu County. Data was then analysed using descriptive analysis such as frequency distributions and percentages. The study recommends more funding to be given to civic education programs and to institutions carrying out civic education programs especially at the grassroots level.
