UV/Vis (Ultraviolet/visible) analysis was used to study the effect of adding Au NPs on the optical properties and calculated the energy gap (Eg) of (PVP/SA) composites. Upon the addition of Au NPs, An enhancement for the conductivity, dielectric permittivity ( ') and dielectric loss ( ") of (PVP/SA) are detected. SEM (scanning electron micrographs) images suggested that the morphological shape of prepared films changed from rough to smooth after adding (Au NPs). Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image exhibited the cubic shape for gold nanoparticles with an average size 10-15 nm. Finally, Nano composites films can be used in several applications such as optical and optoelectronic devices.
