The study also revealed that building defects has effects on teaching and learning as it affects both the emotional and psychological well-being of the teachers and the learners. Two out of the four hypotheses were upheld while two were rejected. It was recommended that government should take proactive measures to address building defects problems in state unity collegesto avoid further deterioration. And also, to make fund available to school administrators to enable them address the maintenance needs of their schools.
