This book deals with the hydrogen embrittlement phenomena in Advance High Strength steel material and prevention with the help of various surface coatings.Hydrogen embrittlement phenomena in AHSS DP980 steel were investigated and found that due to the effect of hydrogen, mechanical properties get reduced. Various surface coatings were performed to reduce the hydrogen permeation in DP980 steel and found Ni-cr and Graphene anti-corrosive spray coatings were effective in the hydrogen atmosphere and reduce the hydrogen permeation rate in the parent material. Scanning electron microscopy examination also suggested that Ni-cr and Graphene ACS coated samples failed in a ductile manner which suggested the effectiveness of these coating. A small amount of hydrogen gets diffused during the hydrogen charging condition which causes shallower dimples to be observed above the surface of fractured samples.
