Various surface coatings were performed to reduce the hydrogen permeation in DP980 steel and found Ni-cr and Graphene anti-corrosive spray coatings were effective in the hydrogen atmosphere and reduce the hydrogen permeation rate in the parent material. Scanning electron microscopy examination also suggested that Ni-cr and Graphene ACS coated samples failed in a ductile manner which suggested the effectiveness of these coating. A small amount of hydrogen gets diffused during the hydrogen charging condition which causes shallower dimples to be observed above the surface of fractured samples.

Dr. Sandeep Kumar Dwivedi is a Mechanical Engineer. He did his BE form RGPV Bhopal in the the year 2012 and Mtech in Maintenance Engineering from MANIT Bhopal in the year 2014. He qualified GATE Exam several times in the year of 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He completed his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from MANIT Bhopal in the year of 2022.
