The book is about the effects of cooperative learning on student's achievements in literature in English subjects among public secondary schools in Dodoma city Tanzania. In human societies the individuals who are most likely to survive are those who are the best enabled to do so by their group. Co-operative learning approach was the starting point in improving the learners' performance and attitude towards the study of oral literature genres. Literature in English subject needs more classroom interactions in speaking, writing, reading and listening. Working together in the classroom promotes interaction between students and teachers in teaching and learning process. This will increase the level of interaction and classroom or group interaction. Cooperative learning will work in the classroom and foster the high performance to the students. Cooperative learning helps learners with different background to work together and understand from each other than listening to teachers only. The effects of not using cooperative learning in classroom lead to the poor interactions between the teachers and learners. There is the need of educators to encourage the use of cooperative learning.
