The full factorial technique has been used for the design of experiment. The effect of speed, feed and depth of cut have been found on the surface roughness and power consumption of motor by turning a length of 100mm on mild steel rods, using both kind of tools. The effect of all the input parameter on the output responses have been analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and mathematical modeling. The model predicted values have been compared with their respective experimental values.
