Irish potato is among the most important tuber crops produced in Rwanda and is among priority crops on which the national program of intensification and development of sustainable production systems , but so far its yield is still below the genetic potential. A field experiment was therefore conducted to investigate the effect of the effect of N.P.K 17-17- 17, FYM, DI-Grow and their combination on growth and yield of Irish potato (variety Kinigi) in UR-CAVM farm in Busogo campus located in Musanze District from December 2013 - April 2014. The experiment was laid out as a Randomized Complete block design (RCBD) with eight treatments; T0 (control), T1 (FYM), T2 (NPK), T3 (DI-Grow), T4 (combination of FYM and NPK), T5 (combination of FYM and DI-Grow), T6 (combination of NPK and DI-Grow) and T7 (the combination of FYM, NPK and DI-Grow). The treatments were three times replicated. The measured agronomic parameters were: the emergence rate, number of shoots per plant at 40DAS, number of leaves at 40 DAS, stem height and plant vigor at 40 and 60 DAS respectively and tuber yields. It is evident that the best performer treatment was a combination therefore it is recommended .
