It is being used for video conferencing, e-learning etc. The user s quality of experience of watching a video is of utmost importance for the content providers. The video quality is much affected because of packet loss and delay in the network which in turn lowers user s perception on quality of the received videos. In our research we try to find out the effect of delay/delay variation on the quality of experience of the users. We try to evaluate the quality of experience using mean opinion score. The quality of experience as perceived by the user is analyzed for all the videos that we have taken and are streamed with constant and varying delay. From this we were able to find the threshold level of delay that is acceptable by the users. The user s tolerance towards the quality of the video in a network with a varying delay is analyzed. The effect of packet delay has also been investigated and the results have been analyzed using Excel.
