Turfgrass research is a decidedly uncharted quarter in the field of horticultural sciences. In the face of its significance in diverse commercial sports and athletics events, Indian turfgrass industry is still in its nascent stage. Since the management practices of turfgrasses vary with specific functional qualities, the main hindrance is obviously a lack of preliminary knowledge about the fertilization of turfgrasses. This book primarily deals with the nitrogen fertilization via different methods of urea application. However, there are fine lines between applying adequate and judicious use of N to maximize aesthetic value and playability and over-fertilizing with N, creating turf health problems and environmental concerns. The different quantitative and qualitative characters studied in this book will shed some light on efficient fertilization using neem oil coated urea and a foliar application of urea. The scrutiny should help scientists and professionals to approach this particular field with a superior perception about turfgrass as a multifaceted system.
