The present investigation entitled "Effect of growth regulators on growth, yield and quality of china aster (Callistephus chinensis L. Nees) cv. Kamini" was carried out at Jambuvadi farm, College of Horticulture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh during the year 2020-21. The present investigation entitled "Effect of growth regulators on growth, yield and quality of china aster (Callistephus chinensis L. Nees) cv. Kamini" was carried out at Jambuvadi farm, College of Horticulture, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh during the year 2020-21. The treatments comprised of three plant growth regulators i.e., GA3, Alar and BA at three levels concentration (GA3 at 100, 150 and 200 ppm, Alar at 500, 1000 and 1500 ppm, BA at 25, 50 and 75 ppm). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) which comprising of ten treatments with three replications. GA3 at 200 ppm gave the best result due to gibberellic acid plays a vital role in improvement of vegetative and flowering characters of the china aster as it enhances the cell division and cell elongation by promoting the DNA synthesis in the cells. Further, GA3 also helps in making the leaves photosynthetically more active for longer period resulting in increased production of carbohydrates.Therefore, foliar application of GA3 200 ppm at 30 and 45 DAT was found to be best in order to get maximum growth, yield and quality of china aster cv. Kamini.
