Excellent qualities including low density, high plasticity, and ductility are found in aluminium and its alloys. Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) are widely used in the domains of aviation, astronautics, autos, and high-speed trains due to their low density and inexpensive reinforcements. Because of its exceptional qualities, including high strength, hardness, stiffness, wear and corrosion resistance, SiC particle reinforced aluminium (Al) is one of the most well-known composite materials. Fly ash is one of the most affordable and low-density reinforcements that can be found in significant numbers as a solid waste by-product following the combustion of coal in thermal power plants, among the several other discontinuously dispersed substances employed. As a result, composites reinforced with fly ash are likely to break through the cost barrier for widespread use in automobile and small engine applications. Wettability of the ceramic particles by liquid Al is crucial for the production of Al matrix cast particle composites.
