The present study was carried out at the Experimental Farm, Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Suze Canal University during 2008/2009 and 2009/2010. The aim of this work was to study the effect of humic acid, cattle manure at different rates; each alone or in combination on the vegetative growth, flowering, fruit yield and oil in (Carum carvi, L.) plants. Humic acid especially at the highest concentration (60ml/100 liter water) significantly increased the plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, reduced the days to flowering stage as well as increased the essential oil percentage in fruits. Similar trend of results was obtained when the plants treated with cattle manure at the highest rates (30m3/fed.). From the obtained results, using humic acid and cattle manure is recommended to increase the yield of (Carum carvi, L.) especially when the plants grown in sandy soil.
