This book assesses the effect of motivation on employees' job performance in selected mining firms in Ore, Ondo State, Nigeria. To achieve this, this work identifies incentives given by some selected mining firms which strengthen employees' job performance in the study area. The study also examines the potency of motivation in mitigating the underperformance of employees in the mining firms assessed. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the research objectives and the inferential statistical tool used to test the hypothesis was Pearson Chi-square. The result of the study indicates that commensurate salaries for work done would motivate the employees toward higher job performance and also the promotion of employees as at when due will improve their job performance. The researcher recommended among others that the management of the selected mining firms should try as much as possible to improve the satisfaction of the employees who are not satisfied with the remuneration been given to them.
