La Dra. Hanaa ElSherif es profesora del Centro Nacional de Investigación. En 2008 cofundó la Unidad de Bioquímica Médica, de la que es jefa. Su interés en la investigación se centra en el estudio del efecto protector de algunos alimentos y fármacos naturales. Es supervisora de muchas tesis de maestría y doctorado. Tiene muchas publicaciones en diferentes revistas.
