To study the "Effect of plant growth regulators on propagation of fig (Ficus carica L.) by hardwood and semi hardwood cuttings" was carried out at College Nursery, N. M. CoA, NAU, Navsari, during July-October 2013. The experiment was carried out in (FCRD) with 20 treatment combinations comprising two types cuttings and nine treatments of plant growth regulator with one control i.e. C1P1- IBA - 1000 mgl-1, C1P2- IBA - 2000 mgl-1, C1P3- IBA - 3000 mgl-1, C1P4- NAA - 1000 mgl-1, C1P5- NAA - 2000 mgl-1, C1P6- NAA - 3000 mgl-1, C1P7- IBA - 1000 mgl-1 + NAA - 1000 mgl-1, C1P8- IBA - 2000 mgl-1 + NAA - 2000 mgl-1, C1P9- IBA - 3000 mgl-1 + NAA - 3000 mgl-1 ,C1P10- Control, C2P1- IBA - 1000 mgl-1, C2P2- IBA - 2000 mgl-1, C2P3- IBA - 3000 mgl-1, C2P4- NAA - 1000 mgl-1, C2P5- NAA - 2000 mgl-1, C2P6- NAA - 3000 mgl-1, C2P7- IBA - 1000 mgl-1 + NAA - 1000 mgl-1, C2P8- IBA - 2000 mgl-1 + NAA - 2000 mgl-1, C2P9- IBA - 3000 mgl-1 + NAA - 3000 mgl-1 and C2P10- Control. Among the various concentration of IBA, NAA and their combinations, the application of IBA @ 2000 mgl-1 to hardwood cutting (C1P2) was most effective with respect to number of days taken for sprouting, percentage of rooted cuttings
