Weed control is an essential part of all crop production systems. Critical period of crop-weed competition in clusterbean is about 20 to 30 DAS, during this period, weeds reduce yield by competing with crops for water, nutrients, and sunlight. Season long competition with weeds in clusterbean causes severe yield reduction ranging from 29-48 per cent and severity may even be higher (70-98%) depending on the weed infestation. In the last four decades, considerable developments have been taken place in chemical weed control (herbicides), thereby increasing the crop returns by reducing the cost of production. Therefore, this book designed to study the effect of different post emergence herbicides in clusterbean.
