One of the major challenges facing Burkina Faso is to boost national agricultural production, and this could be done by promoting the cultivation of strict rainfed rice. Thus, the effects of FV (7.5t/ha), FV (7.5t/ha) + BP (500kg/ha), FV (7.5t/ha) + Urea (100kg/ha), FV (7.5t/ha) + BP (500kg/ha) + Urea (100kg/ha), NPK (200kg/ha) + Extension Urea (100kg/ha) and those of the absolute control on soil chemical parameters, agro-morphological parameters of strict rainfed rice on the one hand, and paddy yield, above-ground biomass weight, 1000-grain weight and chemical composition of the crops on the other hand were evaluated.
