The adoption of greenhouse farming technology is an indication of the paradigm shift from open field cultivation. This is because greenhouse farming encourages harvesting of rainwater for enhanced food as well as nutritional security in arid and semi-arid areas. However, both quality and quantity of horticultural yield is directly affected by the availability of water. In this regard therefore, in order to ensure sustainable and profitable production in greenhouses, water must be applied in adequate amounts and at appropriate times. This book therefore investigated the variation of tomato plant growth characteristics (plant height, stem diameter, fruit diameter and fruit weight) with irrigation water applied at different levels. The extraction soil water with time was also investigated.
