In Ethiopia, the application of fertilizers and seed rate is based on blanket recommendations. However, this practice does not benefit the farming communities as it doesn't consider the specificity of the environment. Due to this, there is a lot of reduction in tef yield than it could be potentially produced. From the study, it was able to determine the optimum seed rate and phosphate fertilizer requirements of Tef. This enables to increase the yield of tef and optimize the cost of production.
