Sweet corn is the third most important cereal and versatile crop which finds the place in the human diet, animal food, fodder and industrial raw material. Besides this, it is promising short duration cash crop for the konkan region. All the growth, yield attributes, yield, quality and uptake was significant when drip irrigated sweet corn was grown on the soil ameliorated with 50% lime requirement and supplied with soil test based fertilizer requirement of NPK and micronutrients (Cu, Zn, B and Mn). The economics of corn grown on soil ameliorated with 50% LR under drip irrigation with application of soil test based fertilizer requirement of NPK and micronutrients (Cu, Zn, B and Mn) recorded highest profitability and B:C ratio. Besides this the drip irrigated corn noticed the highest field water use efficiency of 53.20 and 63.98 per cent over check basin irrigation and save about 52.11 per cent and 56.65 during years 2012-13 and 2013-14, respectively.
