This book demonstrates the impact of Ultraviolet radiation on growth and some physiological processes of the green microalgae. The effect of UV-B on growth, pigments, photosynthetic activity, membrane stability, protein patterns and activity of some antioxidant enzymes are discussed. In addition, adaptation of the studied microalgae to high doses of UV-B radiation and the role of white light in cell reactivation were studied.
