In order to evaluate the impact of urban and industrial wastewater irrigation on germination and early growth of Trigonella foenum-graecum and Triticum secale seeds, germination tests are performed at 25°C for 7 days in the dark. Seeds are irrigated with well water, raw and treated urban wastewater and raw and treated industrial wastewater. Control boxes are irrigated with distilled water. Trigonella foenum-greacum and Triticum secale proved to be able to maintain high values of their germination rate and growth initiation parameters studied under wastewater irrigation condition. Thus, treated wastewater could be considered as potential irrigation water for these two species.
