In this paper we propose to address the topic of Effective and Empathic Communication, framed within the Psychology of Emergency, as a relevant skill for the current training of psychologists. A previous theorization and subsequent exploration and analysis of a sample of publications in Spanish that work on communication tools and strategies in crisis situations will be carried out. The search for publications and protocols will be explored by means of different descriptors in open access databases, in order to serve as a guide against the proposed path to date of the chosen topic.

Julieta Arbizu has a degree in Psychology from the National University of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has developed her interest and training in the field of Emergency Psychology. She is currently working in the first center in the country dedicated to psychosocial assistance to relatives of victims of sinking.
