The work was based on a study of leadership, looking at how managers reconcile career and family. Based on this premise, it was possible to analyse leadership from its history as well as its development over time. The aim of this study was to identify whether a leader is capable of reconciling a professional career and family life. The methodology used was a case study and bibliographical research, which was applied to two multinational companies in the automobile industry, located in the city of Lavras/MG (Brazil).
