The purpose of this article is to study and explain the situation of the migrant population in Colombia, giving priority to the development of public policies implemented for the objective protection of human rights in order to guarantee the precepts and principles established in international law and the various treaties ratified by our nation. The massive migration that we have witnessed in recent years, especially of Venezuelan citizens, has revealed the great humanitarian crisis represented especially by the socio-economic and political conflicts and human rights violations experienced by several countries in South America. This situation has caused that complete families, men, women and children, require urgent attention in basic services, which, have managed to find through asylum or refuge in other parts of the world that have received them. It is here where the concern of international organizations is centered, especially in seeking the effective protection of human rights, fundamentally of adolescent children and women.
