Establishing of an efficient and functional transportation system is closely related with traffic safety, intermodal integration and balanced modal distribution. In Turkey, an important improvement has been progressed in these issues but also some basic constitutive problems are still lasting. In a well-balanced city, transport demands will increase, but these demands will also help the transport systemto produce more constructive solutions. As known; one of the main problems in Turkey in general is the lack of 'planning' in urbanization and also in other areas, whether in transport system or not.
