Produktbeschreibung
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is among the largest recipients of official development assistance (ODA) and is simultaneously among the poorest countries in the world. This raises serious questions about the effectiveness of ODA in promoting economic growth and breaking the cycle of poverty in the country. This book attempts to measure and analyse the impact of official development assistance on growth and poverty reduction in DR Congo. The results highlighted the country's strong dependence on official development assistance, which has theoretically contributed positively to economic growth and poverty reduction. However, direct observations in the field and numerous studies show that economic growth still conceals a great deal of inequality and misery in Congolese society. Ways of increasing the effectiveness of official development assistance are proposed.
