In bacterial desease condition, vibriosis was the main problem in the stages of the shrimp's farming. Vibrio infection can lead to necrosis, melanisation, even mass mortality of shrimp. An alternative method to prevent it by using probiotic. Probiotic can be found in powder form because powder probiotic can make it long term to keep and stability in quality. However, some cases indicated that vibrio in ponds was still high althought the powder probiotic has been applied. White shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was captive in four of 60.000 m3 ponds. Total of 0,1 ppm powder probiotic cultured in seawater with 0,2 ppm molasses as carbon source. The data analized was probiotic colony growth in probiotic culture, vibrio colony growth in ponds, and water quality of ponds for one month. Based on this study, it can be concluded that powder probiotic cultured in seawater with molasses still ineffective contribution to defeated against vibrio in white shrimp (L. vanname), in case of seawater that used to culture was directly taken from the sea. Seawater with sterilized treatment would be recommended before applied in probiotic culture to clear it from vibrio.
