With the popularity of foreign TV channels & frequently heavy viewership of cable television it has been felt that people become more concentrated especially housewives, towards what they watch. So, this study analysis the Effects of cable television on women and provides results by comparing life pattern of heavy, moderate and light viewers . The main objective of the study was to explore the effects of cable TV on the lives of women.Sample size was one hundred and five, in which all the married young women of different families were included. Through the statistical analysis and percentages of data provided by respondents (to find out the association between cable TV viewership and its effects on personal appearance & style of women, on family & social interaction patterns, on cultural practices (food, language, dress, traditions and religion) on their household chores & personal activities) it has proved that greater the exposure to cable television, greater the effect on the lives of women .
