This study analyzes the effects of COVID-19 on the socioeconomic situation of sellers of brewing products in the city of Kinshasa province during the state of health emergency, from March to the end of July 2020. Overall, it was conducted with 232 vendors. Before presenting the negative effects of the state of health emergency measures taken in the context of COVID-19 on the economy of sellers of brewing products, the study first traces the major events of COVID- 19 in the DRC, and the contributions of the brewing activity in the Kinshasa households of its practitioners, particularly sellers.
