Many people would not mind if school-going children wore or did not wear school uniform. For others, it is an unnecessary expense on parents who have to incur other huge expenses in their children's lives. School uniform is seen to have various functions specifically for identification and to boost uniformity among pupils in the school context. This book seeks to investigate on the otherwise taken for granted role of school uniform on learners' feelings of self worth and academic achievements. This is explored from both the learners' and societal perspectives. Pupils, their parents and teachers give their perceptions towards school uniform and the role it plays in an adolescent's life.
