Weldegebriel Berhe was born in 1982 in Maichew, Southern Zone of Tigray Region. He completed his elementary and secondary school education at Tilahun Yigzaw and Addishu senior Secondary School in Maichew and Addishu town. He was awarded BSc. (July, 2008) and MSc.Degree (May, 2011)in Animal Production in Ambo and Hramaya University, respectively.
