Consequently, management of back pain among pregnant women has not attracted major attention it deserved. To correct this shortcoming, this book provides useful insight to the utilization of the McKenzie principle of' "Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy" in the management of back pain among pregnant women. Also included in the book is a simple manual therapy approach to address the sacroiliac joint component to low back pain in pregnancy.

Olusola Ayanniyi, (PT) Ph.D, DipMDT is lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is a specialist physiotherapist in musculoskeletal disorders especially on spine-related dysfunction. He was granted the Diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 1991 from the McKenzie Institute International, New Zealand.
