This study tried to identify the degree to which terrorism influences the decision to travel to the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir as well as to examine the general terrorism risk perception of this particular destination by using a new approach of contrasting people who live in India, have been to the country before or who have never been there. History has shown that terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir is the product of India's and Pakistan's inability to solve their dispute regarding which country has possession of the state which had a tremendous impact on the state's tourism industry. In order to gain a better understanding of the situation a random online survey was rendered in 2011 and generated interesting results.
