Researches have been conducted on transformational and transactional leadership styles in different environments (outside Nigeria) in the United States of America, Europe, and Asia among others with varying results. This study investigates the effects of transformational and transactional leadership styles on employee performance on a comparative basis in three organizations in Nigeria. These organizations include Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) Kaduna, Dangote Cement Plc. Obajana and The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa.
