In West Africa, Zea mays (L) maize is the most widely produced and consumed cereal. Despite the importance of maize production, growers still face a number of constraints that prevent them from benefiting from the crop's potential. A survey on the determinants of integrated management of Spodoptera frugiperda in the agro-ecosystems of southern Benin was carried out among ninety-two maize growers in the commune of Ketou. At the end of the study, the virus strains were found to be important in the management of armyworms.
