I am an American poet and starving artist. The poems contained in this book were written after my daughter was adopted against my wishes, my fianceé left me, I went to jail and then a homeless shelter. I have battled drug addiction, alcoholism, and depression. I felt like I lost everything but I always managed to have a pen and a pad or some method of writing. Here are six years of torment written during the months of April from 2013 - 2019 for an exercise of writing a poem a day for a month. This pain got me back to poetry, I hope someone can enjoy it.
