In the middle of a big ocean, there is a small island called Egg Island. No one knew it was there! A long time ago, a man named Captain Thomas had a small ship company in London. His company was in trouble, and he needed help. Captain Thomas sailed with his crew and some important cargo that could save his company. But as they got close to the island, a monster named Moon Black attacked them! Moon Black protected Egg Island and the people who lived there. Captain Thomas and his crew were the first people to ever survive Moon Black's attack. They landed on the island's shores and were surprised by what they saw. The people on the island looked just like regular people, but their faces looked like the fried eggs the sailors had for breakfast that morning! The island is full of characters and strange things even aside from the Egg people - dolphins, including a giant one as big as a ship, and one even bigger that sleeps at the bottom of the sea; Baboons who think they own the place; firebugs as big as coconuts who light up the village; giant turtles who protect the kids when swimming; coconut crabs, bright orange with cat-like habits who like their belly scratched; little bees with big eyes always sharing honey, and mushrooms that produce eggs. Join Captain Thomas and his crew on an exciting adventure as they explore Egg Island and meets its exciting characters.
Autorenporträt
Ta once said it would be easier for her to walk on the moon than become an artist. She left school at 12 to work in the rice fields. At 13, she worked in a sweat factory in Bangkok making shirts. At 14, she was driving a pick-up truck seven days a week, 14 hours a day, selling vegetables. At 20, Ta had her own business selling pick-up trucks. It was pure chance that a cheeky little drawing she did later in life changed her life forever and got her into the world of art.
