Autorenporträt
Albert Groom was raised on the shores of the Atlantic in the outer Cape town of Truro. Eggplant: Golden or Scorned is his first book of published poems. His poems are reflections of his past struggles with addiction, depression, and subsequent recovery -- a therapeutic tool that helped him accept life's physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional challenges. He is sharing this book in the hopes of touching the life of others. His journey as a poet began with an open mic event at Brook's Park in Harwich which encouraged him to enroll in a poetry workshop writing class. His work has been featured in the weekly Photo and Poem Series of the Provincetown Public Library, and March 2024 he was featured as the Brewster Ladies Library Poet of the Month. He currently resides in Orleans, Massachusetts.
