The expression of a certain degree of selfishness is accepted in any society. Every individual needs a dose and variety of selfish behavior in order to survive in a culture. If not, they are dredged up by it. In a survey of university students in Curitiba, some forms of expression of selfishness were identified, grouped into six categories, ranging from individuals who consider themselves altruistic to those who call themselves selfish.
