Dina Abu-Seif es una egipcia-estadounidense. Se graduó de la Universidad de Missouri-Columbia con una Licenciatura en Comunicaciones. Poco tiempo después, regresó a Egipto, su país de origen, y completó un Diploma de Posgrado en Estudios del Medio Oriente y una Maestría en Sociología-Antropología en la Universidad Americana de El Cairo.
