Karen Leis Welsh has been teaching elementary, school for 23 years. She has been delighting her students by making Children's literature come to life in the classroom and developing a love for reading. She has taught grades kindergarten through the fifth grade and has both her Bachelor's in elementary education, and a Master's in Educational Administration. She has taught many children to write throughout the years. Her love for writing began when she was a child. She has two children, and three grandchildren and lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, Jerry.
