Born in 1973, Dr. Biraja Routray is a powerful voice among contemporary voices in Odia short stories. His short stories and poems are around the variance of the day-to-day life of a common man. He remains in the continuous search of life and shares his experience in the form of short stories with readers. His five short story collections are 'Gahali Arapakhe,' 'Bahubachan,' 'Pratipakshara Hasa,' 'Bishama Bahu,' 'Purna o Sunya.' He also has four poetry collections and a collection of essays to his credit. "Tarabharti Aakash" has received 35th Bhubaneswar.
